Mercy Said No: To a one man's tango

She's filthy and it's no lie
She's guilty and must die
That, everyone knows
But mercy said no
On the scale of justice and truth
She must be punished for eating the
forbidden fruit
She's a whore
A prostitute and does hardcore
Instead of leaving her to be killed
By the poison of the forbidden apple
she took
They would rather with their hands
her blood spilled
After erasing her off mercy and
amnesty's book
They justified their quest to uphold the
law
But the law of man is always flawed
"Stone her to death" was the
conclusion
But "be sinless" the condition
The master fully aware of man's heart
And it's mastery of deception art
Sat and wrote into the dusts
What He was writing? Mercy, grace,
love...
Men said she deserved death
But mercy said rebirth
According to the law
She must die- an outlaw
But mercy said she need a new life
One question always rings in my
mind
How flawed men would have been!
To would have seen only her sin!
Meanwhile, did she alone tango?
What of the man that along with her
tangoed!
